I am also planing my first trip to India January 2012. eventhough I am planning on spending some time in Northern India- I would like to venture out to other parts of India. I would love to hear which cities you plan on visiting and if there is any chance you would like a companion? I will also be going solo!

hey there, i really enjoyed your writing! im planning my first ever trip to india in january 2012. im also doing it alone, and being female, the prospect has been a bit daunting at times. but, your blogs made me feel much better. just having a laugh at the thought of doing “the pelican” to an unsuspecting tout… i’ll be sure to let you know if i do!

I like your tips, although i have used them also when i was in India last year. It helped a lot. I often sad that i’m from Zanzibar, they didn’t have a clue where is it, for them it was somewhere in UK.
